Work Visa (Oil & Gas)

You may apply for this eVisa if your purpose is Work, including to visit our beautiful beaches or tasting our amazing prawns for a duration of 90 days or more.

Entry

You can enter the country as per the duration of the visa (90, 180, 365 days) for Work Visa. You may select the entry to be multiple entry depending on your travel itinerary and project requirements.

Duration of Stay

Once in Mozambique, you are authorized to stay for up to the duration of stay mentioned on the approved visa. If you need to extend your stay, you must contact the Mozambique Embassy directly.

Requirements

The documents below are mandatory for both the respective purpose of travel selected by the traveller.

Passport

Color copy of the passport bio page (valid more than 6 months)

Frontal Photo

A recent, passport-style photo

Specific documents as per purpose of travel

All submitted documents must be scanned, clear, legible and in one of supported formats : JPEG, PDF or PNG.

Work Visa (Supporting Documents)

Letter addressed to the Director General of SENAMI (requesting the visa grant).

Visa application form (provided by Migration Services upon presentation of proof of bank deposit).

Employment Contract (proving the contractual relationship between the employer and the employee).

Criminal Record (Police Clearance certificate should be from the country of residence)

Proof of payment (Online bank transfer or Online card payment)

Credential issued by the contractor – Letter of contractual relationship between the Concessionaire Company and the subcontracted company (issued by the concessionaire company).

Work Certificate (Atestado de Trabalho).

Business License (Alvará).

Applicants are hereby notified that the submission of all required documentation is a mandatory legal obligation established under Law No. 23/2022 of December 29, which regulates the entry and stay of foreign citizens in Mozambique.

Translation Requirements

Supporting documents, namely Medical Certificate and Criminal Record that are not in Portuguese, must be translated by a sworn translator. Regarding the translation, the following aspects must be considered:
• Translation is accurate, and,
• Translator is competent to translate.

At the Airport

Upon arrival at a Mozambique airport, authorities will check your preliminary Approval letter to enter the country. Be prepared to present the following documents to prevent any confusion:
Passport : Your valid passport
Printed Pre-Approval document: A printed copy of your Preliminary Approved eVisa (PDF document)
